After Dog's Grim Diagnosis, A Woman Made A Choice That No Other Owner Would

Popularly referred to as "man's best friend", dogs always seem to hold a special place in their owners' hearts. For Jenny and Scott Leech, this was no different. While absolute dog-lovers and rescuers themselves, they've always been willing to lend a helping hand to animals in need. But what they didn't realize is that they were set to face their toughest challenge yet. While a playful and affectionate dog, Theo was diagnosed with a devastating condition. Determined to help him enjoy his life, the couple made a heartwarming decision.

A couple on a mission

Having been together since high school, Jenny and Scott have more than just a happy marriage. They also share the same passion for helping dogs in need. Just some of their dogs include Tilly, who is blind, and Roo, a chipper little chihuahua who is struggling to walk. Little did the couple know that their family would soon grow a little larger.

Delivering joy to those in need

Jenny and Scott do everything they can to brighten up the lives of the dogs they take care of. The couple loves to host what they call "Sunday Funday" to keep the dogs active and excited about life. But what about those that struggle to walk? Well, Scott takes five chihuahuas along in a stroller! Still, this wasn't the end of the couple's mission.

Along came Theo

Despite all the love that Jenny and Scott had provided to dogs in need, they knew that there were still others out there who needed saving. That's when Theo, a dog who was abandoned in a Walmart parking lot, was picked up by animal control. Knowing that Jenny was someone who could help in this situation, the vet called her immediately. She did, however, warn the dog lover that the situation wasn't pretty.

Meeting Theo

Upon first seeing Theo, Jenny's heart dropped — the dog looked completely dejected. As her motherly instincts kicked in, she took Theo back home with her. “I don’t even know if I told you, actually," Jenny said to her husband. "No, you didn’t,” Scott laughed. But even with a new home, Theo faced a tough road ahead.
